Founding member of the techno- and house-focused Transduction Signal Collective, Dallas, TX-based modular synth wizard CKSAMPLE, will be docking their modular rig, the Mothership, in Blast Radio airspace to transmit across ambient, dance, and experimental frequencies. Dr. Dog drummer and epicure of the otherworldly Eric Slick is returning with new episodes of Strange America Hour, a show exploring weirdness in the American songbook and beyond. “When I was invited by label boss Oreku to drop a mix for the Cellar Sessions series, I had just landed upon a goldmine of disco/folk heavy 80s and 90s cassettes and had been engulfed in a wave of retro nostalgia. I saw this as the perfect opportunity to translate those vibes into a mix for Stereo Ferment featuring a variety of dance floor worthy vintage cuts from around the globe - a fermentation of cross-cultural sounds.”
