Announcing the Blast Radio Desktop App (for broadcasting)

This week, we’re excited to officially launch the Blast Radio Desktop App (for broadcasting).

Using the app, you can become a radio host in minutes - just log in, select most any audio input source on your computer, and click the button to broadcast directly to Blast Radio.

Whether you’re speaking to listeners, performing a live set, or routing and broadcasting a mix from audio software, setup is simple and the possibilities are endless.

A few ways to use the Desktop App:

Use an audio interface, MIDI, or a USB mic

Connect a microphone or audio interface to broadcast a talk radio show or live music performance with ease.

Broadcast DJ sets

Quickly route and broadcast DJ sets from audio software like Serato DJ, TRAKTOR, Audacity, and more. Here is a video with detailed instructions on broadcasting Serato DJ sets to Blast Radio:

Broadcast other apps with routing software or a virtual audio driver

With a few simple steps, you can route audio from other applications on your computer to a broadcast. If you’re willing to invest a few dollars to save yourself some time, use a third-party tool like Loopback.

If you’re a little more tech-savvy, spin up a virtual audio driver like BlackHole, ASIO, or Soundflower.
